PATRICK & LAURA

A chic wedding in a period residence immersed in the green of Umbria.

1 September 2013

I will always be linked to this wedding, especially because it was the first wedding I could not take part in because my daughter was born at that time, and therefore I had entrusted the entire coordination of my wedding to my incredible assistant Federica Leonori and my florist Antoniella Cricchi, who followed the instructions given to the letter. The agitation of not being able to be present made me live on the phone to make sure that everything was going in the right direction. I also had to trust and have faith in the hands of my guardian angels!
Laura and Patrick’s wedding was organised in a venue that I love very much, immersed in the most absolute silence, surrounded by the green of the Umbrian hills. A historic residence, the Abbey of San Faustino allows couples to gift a “wedding holiday” to their closest family and friends, as you can rent the venue for as many days as you wish. Also being a municipal house, it allows you to celebrate the civil ceremony directly on site… for those who prefer to let their guests discover more than one site, the Municipality of Gubbio is only half an hour away and is truly a magical place.
Unfortunately not having been present I have no way to tell all the background, but thanks to the video by Fulvio Greco Film and the photos of Mr & Mrs W we have the opportunity to enjoy it whenever we wish.

The imperial table, low glass vases with a simple wildflower, rolled paper bags for the bread, old books bound with string, a bouquet with the stems bound with pearls…every detail had been studied and designed following a strongly desired design.
And I am very pleased to know that this wedding was published in the Canadian Online Wedding Magazine Wedding Bells.
