Sarah and Daniel immediately chose La Badia di Orvieto for their wedding... three days spent with family and friends discovering the magnificent Umbria region. They came from Australia to spend a truly unique holiday here in Italy, which began with a civil ceremony at the town hall in Orvieto, where both Carolina, our wonderful photographer, and I acted as witnesses. A family elopement, with excited and happy children!
A few days later, we organised a welcome dinner with all the guests in the garden of a delightful restaurant in the heart of Orvieto. The day after, with everyone still feeling the effects of the wedding celebrations, we visited a winery, first taking a tour of the vineyard and the caves where the must ferments before turning into wine, followed by a tasting accompanied by local delicacies. The wedding was organised down to the smallest detail, from the choice of flowers to the mise en place, the venue for the ceremony and the band... glorious sunshine crowned Sarah and Daniel's dream until the end of the DJ set, which ended with laughter and cheers!!!
