With Lauren and Mike, we organised a splendid elopement at Villa Monastero on Lake Como in just a few months. It was an incredible day in September, with warm sunshine that allowed us to enjoy every moment of a day that began early with BenniCarol capturing every moment on their camera! The bride and groom stayed at Villa Cipressi, which borders Villa Monastero and shares parts of its magnificent botanical gardens.
The first look with the villa still empty, the lake flat, the late September sun filtering through the branches... it was all truly evocative. And then celebrating the ceremony on the balcony overlooking the lake, under those loggias, always moves me. And from there, the day continued with one emotion after another. A light lunch in Varenna and then a nice boat trip to discover the beauty of the lake, an ice cream in Bellagio and back home.
