GEMMA & ED

Civil ceremony and country chic style reception at the Borgo di Tragliata

27 September 2019

A really nice couple with whom we started to organize the wedding two years before... it must be said that we took it very comfortably. And perhaps for this beautiful location, the village of Tragliata on the outskirts of Rome, and the necessary time; always very popular not only by the Romans but especially by the Irish and the English. The beauty of this ancient village is the opportunity to relax once you arrive without having to go out: infact it is possible to organize both the civil and religious ceremony in the churches at the top of the hill. The reception, depending on the number of your guests, can be organized in the old village or in the barn, near the pool. To complete the total relaxation there is the great availability of accommodation that the location makes available to the newlyweds and all their guests.

Gemma and Ed rented the village for five days, organizing different activities for each day: including "pub evening" during the Six Nations rugby semi-final!

On the wedding day the sun shone high in the sky, like in the most classic days of late September and all the staff was operating from the early morning. The newlyweds wanted to follow the English tradition and marry in the early afternoon, then give themselves a reception and then dance until late at night. Antonella Cricchi  helped me in the floral arrangements, both for the civil ceremony and for the  bridal  bouquet. For the reception instead I took care of the composition, using aromatic plants and glass jars of various shapes and sizes with candles and pillar candles inside.

The Borgo's kitchen brigade always guarantees an express cuisine, taken care of in detail, including naked  wedding cakes  with figs and olive leaves, a recurring theme for the whole wedding. At the end of dinner the group entered inside in order to give life to the DJ party, dancing until late at night... What a party guys!!!

A really beautiful, cheerful wedding, with family... Ed & Gemma, surrounded by their children, allowed themselves to be embraced by the affection of all, and there were not few!
